Neonatologist Position
About Us:
- 405-person employed multi-specialty foundation with a state-of-the-art, 50,000 square-foot, $25 million birthing center built in 2021.
Current Team:
- 7 Pediatric Hospitalists (PEDS HOSP)
- 2 Full-Time Equivalent (FTE) Neonatologists
- Neonatology Locums
Key Details:
- Projecting 80-100 deliveries per month
- 25 OB/GYNs in a service area of over 1 million people
- PEDS HOSP are in-house 24/7, attending deliveries, admitting and caring for well-baby service, and caring for NICU babies overnight. Respiratory Therapist and RN attend all deliveries. RTs are certified for intubation.
Neonatologist Role:
- Day-to-Day: See all patients in the NICU, conduct neonatal and prenatal consults, and attend all high-risk deliveries.
- Evening/Night: Take call from home. PEDS HOSP handle straightforward NICU admissions; neonatologists come in for complicated cases.
Facilities:
- 8-bed NICU Level II
- 14 LDRP rooms, 2 ORs, 4 ante-partum rooms, and 7 post-partum rooms
Work Schedule:
- 24/7 shifts for 7 days every 2-3 weeks
- Day (8 AM – 5 PM): Admit to NICU
